Zion National Park is a must see adventure while shopping for St George real estate. Time spent is Zion National Park will be remembered for a lifetime. Zion Park is 229 square miles of paradise featuring cool grottos, and imaginable rock formations, rivers and 4 unique life zones. Wildlife consists of Golden Eagles, California Condors and over 289 species of birds, 75 mammals (including 19 species of bat), and 32 reptiles, not to forget the Zion snail, found only in Zion National Park. The park's unique geography and variety of life zones allow for unusual plant and animal diversity. Ancient man called this area home 8,000 years ago, fortunately for us not much has changed! Located just outside Zion Park‘s West entrance is the wonderful little town of Springdale Utah. Great food, incredible IMAX theater and lots of festivals, a wonderful farmers market featuring lots of organic food make this a must see on your visit to Saint George and Washington County!

Bryce Canyon, despite its name is not a canyon at all. It is a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion. Bryce became a national park in 1928 and encompasses 56 square miles. Located a hop skip and jump from St George you won’t regret the time spent visiting this natural beauty. One thing to consider when purchasing St George real estate is the fact you can visit 4 national parks in 1 day. Bryce has a feel like nothing else, if the gods where to have a concert Bryce’s natural amphitheater would be the location! Bryce receives a small percentage of visitors compared to its neighboring parks so plan on enjoying the quiet spectacular beauty of one of our least known National Parks. See you there!

Sand Hollow, is a gorgeous lake located between St George and Hurricane Utah. Crystal clear water and Navajo sandstone cliffs combined with sandy beaches make this a place worthy of your time. Sand Hollow also includes access to miles of sand dunes and back country open to ATV’s. When visiting and considering St. George real estate please spend some time and look at all the recreational opportunities available to you. This lake is like a miniature Lake Powell. Many of the swimming portions of Tri and Biathlons are held on this lake. Snow Canyon State Park is spectacular in every way. The beauty is indescribable. Located next to Tuachan outdoor theater you will be inspired by the unique and colorful rock formations contrasted against the rich black color of ancient lava flows. Rent a Segway or hike through the park and enjoy the beauty of one of Utah’s most scenic parks. While looking at St George real estate I recommend you find the time to visit Snow Canyon State Park.
